Crime Does Pay
We learn today that the Saudi government—which reliable reports say was reponsible for the gruesome murder of a Saudi-American journalist—has made a deal with the US government—which never prosecuted that crime. The deal involves cooperation on Saudi nuclear development—the same kind of development the US has gone to war to prohibit in Iran.
Irony aside, it’s a good deal for all concerned. US business gets a plausible boost, and the Saudi government gets assistance in progress towards a nuclear bone saw.
